One Army Under God

Fighting for the heritage of America

So it seems a Federal court ruled a World War I memorial cross in Maryland must be torn down. (Sigh) I can't say I'm totally surprised. Disheartened. but not surprised. It's been coming. They've been trying hard for years to erase Christianity from America. They have revised the History books of our Children so they no longer hear how faith impacted our founding fathers and the documents they wrote.

But it doesn't change the fact that we are a CHRISTIAN NATION. Christianity is woven into the fabric of our being. Our currency says "In God we trust." Our pledge of allegiance says, "One nation under God." George Washington dedicated the United States of America to God on April 30, 1789.

The Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by THEIR CREATOR with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The Ten Commandments are inscribed in the marble of the United States Supreme Court. There is a stained glass window in the U.S. Capitol showing George Washington kneeling in prayer. At the top of the Washington Monument there is a plaque which boldly proclaims in Latin, “Praise Be Unto God.”

If the History books were true, they would report how Patrick Henry said, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

If History books were true they would recall how Andrew Jackson said, "Let us look forward to the time when we can take the flag of our country and nail it below the Cross, and there let it wave as it waved in the olden times, and let us gather around it an inscribed for our motto: “Liberty and Union, one and inseparable, now and forever,” and exclaim, Christ first, our country next!”

There is no shortage of evidence proving we are a Christian Nation, founded on BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES. This does not mean everyone living here HAS to be Christian, it simply means there is a moral code written in the heart of America, a higher call, a greater standard. What today's history books fail to communicate is that we have freedom in America -- freedom to WORSHIP GOD. Freedom to proclaim Him as our true Governor. Separation of Church and State was not meant to protect the state from religion, but to protect religion from the state.

I'm sorry but if you don't like the Christian heritage of America you have the right and the freedom to leave. Go to Russia where their separation of Church and state actually does mean protecting the state from religion. Go to North Korea where Christianity is illegal because citizens must worship their maniacal leader. Go to Somalia where the Muslim group al-Shabaab cuts the tongues out of anyone who says the name Jesus. If you really can't stand Christianity that much maybe you'd feel more comfortable there.

Oh wait, you don't want to do that because you like the freedom of America. You want to have your cake and eat it too. But here's the thing: America has this wonderful freedom because GOD GAVE IT TO US. What the history books nowadays fail to tell our children is that our ancestors fought for God and God fought for them. George Washington already dedicated us to God in 1789. You can't take him out of this equation and expect to continue to operate as a free America. You can't cipher the gas from the car and expect it to take you where you want to go. You can't throw the pilot off the plane and expect not to crash.

And yeah I get it, you don't believe there's a God who gave us our freedom. You don't believe there's a higher power driving this thing called America. Well lucky for you, you have the right to believe that. But you don't have the right to change this country according to your beliefs. You have the right to soak up the blessings of God while blaspheming his name. You have the right to accept his providence while biting the hand that feeds you. But you do NOT have the right to champion a cause to take the hand away from the rest of us who love America for what it truly is. No, friend. You do not have the right to undo what God has set in place.

I see you're going to try hard to make that happen anyway, but please know I'm going to try harder to stop you. Please know that I'm NOT going to lie down and let you steal this treasure from me. Please know that you CAN'T silence me.

Please know that I will fight on my knees, every single dang day... in prayer to the Almighty one on behalf of His Name. I will fight on my knees for HIS vision of America. Please know I am a soldier of Christ, endowed with purpose and power from on high. Yes, I will fight on my knees -- but not against you, I will fight FOR you... for your conversion and for your soul... and for this country, that it may be once again what God has willed it to be: holy.

May we be an image of His glory, a people of his will, a nation with his power, and land rich with his blessing.

I'm hoping all my Christian friends will join me in this battle. I'm hoping we can unite together with His word in our hearts, and his name on our lips... as one army under God, indivisible for the sake of beautiful America.
